In larger sites and communities where the irrigation system is split into several different zones, keeping track of water usage can get complicated. In many cases, individual entities are responsible for their own water usage permits or for paying for their own water and they want to be able to monitor how much water is going into their particular zone.
A Smart Irrigation Solution That Gives You Total Control
However, there may be one major irrigation pump station pressurizing the main water line which branches off into several different zones. In order to provide visibility and control for each individual entity, a Flowguard Point of Connection, once installed, is able to monitor irrigation activity in specific zones. By inserting a flow measuring device into the pipe where the zone leaves the main line and attaching it to an electrical panel with our Flowguard system, we can start measuring how much water is passing into that particular zone very accurately and generate usage reports very easily. Flowguard provides real-time activity monitoring to highlight any problems fast - before they have a negative impact on owners’ budgets.
Remote Monitoring For All Irrigation Zones
As the remote monitoring system is internet-based, owners have total control over the water usage in their specific zone. So, for example, if they reach a usage limit or experience a leak they can shut off their section remotely, from their phone or computer, without affecting the main pump.
For those end-users who need visibility of several zones, we can set up a campus environment which combines multiple zones into one view on the screen saving them from having to switch between different sites. One screen can display all the different pumps and flows and how they all relate to one another, enabling users to control a number of separate systems at the same time.
